Prayer Needs

·   Pray for Sudan during this transition time as a result of the first ever National elections in 24 years.  Pray for peace and for God to raise up godly leaders.

·   Pray for the churches in Dajo.  They are in a growing phase which is causing some “growing pains.”  Pray for the young church leaders to grow in the Lord, in their faith and in their understanding of the word.

·   Please pray our relationships with the Muslim traders who are opening up shops in our area.  More are moving into our area.  They are strong in their Islamic faith.  Pray our local churches will reach out to them with the truth about Jesus being more than just a prophet.

·   Continue to keep the clinic patients in your prayers.  We regularly have to admit children who are severely ill with malaria and pneumonia.  Too many children die of these diseases when their deaths could be prevented if the parents would just bring their children to the clinic sooner.

·   We have a short-term team coming in Oct/Nov that is comprised of 5 people from 4 different churches.  Pray the Lord will use them for His glory in spreading the gospel during their 8 day stay there.

·   Cathy continues to need prayers for the protruding discs in her back that cause almost constant pain.  She would also appreciate prayers for healing of her insomnia.

·   We are heading back to Davao, Philippines for the “rainy season” (May – Aug) where Cathy will teach primary health care to midwifery students.  She will also update her midwifery skills.  Bubba will be involved in outreaches and other activities.  Pray the Lord will use us for His glory while there and that we will also be refreshed before we return to Sudan to a busy schedule.

·   We praise God for the recent PA Foundation grant that partially funded us to build the Dajo Adult Education Center.  Other private donors helped fund what was lacking. Pray for Bubba as he now has to work with our local traders to bring in all the necessary building materials.  Pray for honesty and integrity among those whom he will work with as it involves a lot of money.
